Jackson County Farm Families Represent Local Agriculture at the National Peanut Festival

Several Jackson County farm families participated in this year’s National Peanut Festival in Dothan, sharing their experiences, products, and way of life with thousands of visitors celebrating one of the region’s most important crops.

Jackson County producers highlighted the role of peanuts in local agriculture and offered festivalgoers a firsthand look at the hard work, stewardship, and generational knowledge that define farming in Northwest Florida. In addition to peanuts, families showcased a variety of locally grown products that reflect the diversity of Jackson County’s agricultural landscape.

The National Peanut Festival is the largest peanut festival in the United States, drawing attendees from across the Southeast. For Jackson County growers, the event provides a valuable opportunity to connect directly with consumers, answer questions about farming practices, and strengthen support for Florida-grown agriculture.
